Description
The Poke Mender Finishing Polish is a non-abrasive, collector-safe formula designed to be the final step in your card restoration process. Free of artificial colours and fragrances, it gently addresses minor surface issues such as dull holographic finishes, and light imperfections caused by handling or time. Suitable for most trading cards with a glossy or holographic finish, the Finishing Polish helps bring your cards back to a factory-fresh appearance.
Please note this product is not recommended for cards that feature a powder-coated top layer, as the polish may affect the surface finish on these cards. Always test on a low-value card first.

Directions for Use
Directions For Use
Before You Begin:
Ensure your card has been cleaned and dried before applying Finishing Polish so you are working on a residue-free surface. Work on a soft, clean, well-lit area and handle the card by the edges to avoid fingerprints.
Card Compatibility:
Finishing Polish is intended for smooth, glossy holo and foil areas on modern and vintage cards, including many Pokémon holos, reverse holos, and similar TCG finishes. Avoid textured or etched foils, matte or powder-coated finishes, plain paper surfaces, autographs, and serial-numbered text.
Applying the Polish:
Place a small amount of polish onto a clean foam swab or applicator, just enough to lightly coat the tip. Using soft, overlapping circular motions, work the polish gently across the holographic area in small sections.
For Dull Holographic Finishes:
On holo areas that look flat or hazy, move the applicator slowly across the surface in light circles. Keep each pass controlled and avoid scrubbing.
For Light Age Spots and Surface Imperfections:
For small cloudy spots or light scuffing, focus the polish on the affected area using tight, controlled motions. Check your progress often and use a fresh applicator if you repeat the application.
Buffing Off the Polish:
Once you have finished applying, use a clean, dry microfibre cloth to gently buff the card until all visible polish is removed. Use a finer cloth if needed and check under bright light to make sure no residue remains.
Application Limits:
Limit Finishing Polish to one to three light applications on any single area, reassessing between passes. If a scratch still appears deep, or you can see missing foil or exposed cardstock, stop there.
After Applying:
Allow the card to rest and air out for at least 2 to 4 hours before sleeving or storing. If dried polish remains, apply a very small amount of fresh polish over the spot and buff it away.
Storage and Maintenance:
Use fresh foam swabs and clean microfibre cloths for each session. Store Finishing Polish at room temperature with the lid tightly closed, away from heat and direct light.
Pro Tips For Best Results
Visually Assess Scratch Depth: Use bright lighting to check whether the mark is truly surface-level. If foil is missing or raw cardstock is visible, Finishing Polish will not repair it.
Control Your Pressure: Treat polishing as a gentle refinement step, not a scrub. Very light pressure and short sessions are safer and less likely to affect the finish.
Protect Borders and Paper: Mask non-holo borders and exposed paper areas with low-tack painter’s tape if needed. This helps keep polish away from raw cardstock.
Test on a Similar Card First: Use a low-value card from the same era and with a similar finish as your target card. This lets you see how the polish reacts before using it on anything important.
