Description
The Poke Mender Finishing Polish is a non-abrasive, collector-safe formula designed to be the final step in your card restoration process. Free of artificial colours and fragrances, it gently addresses minor surface issues such as dull holographic finishes, and light imperfections caused by handling or time. Suitable for most trading cards with a glossy or holographic finish, the Finishing Polish helps bring your cards back to a factory-fresh appearance.
Please note this product is not recommended for cards that feature a powder-coated top layer, as the polish may affect the surface finish on these cards. Always test on a low-value card first.

Directions for Use
Before You Begin:
Always ensure your card has been cleaned with the Card Cleaner Spray before applying the Finishing Polish. This removes any surface residue or grime and allows the polish to work effectively on a clean surface. Make sure you are working in a well-lit area at room temperature for the best results.
Applying the Polish:
Apply a small amount of polish to a clean foam swab, doing so softly as if spreading butter on bread. Do not press down hard or dig into the polish. Using light, circular motions, work the polish gently across the surface of the card in small sections, keeping your pressure light and consistent throughout.
For Dull Holographic Finishes:
Apply the polish in slow, circular motions across the holographic surface using the foam swab. You should begin to notice the finish regaining its depth and shine as you work. Take your time with this and do not rush the process.
For Age Spots and Surface Imperfections:
Focus the polish on the affected areas using small, controlled circular motions with the foam swab. Work gradually and check your progress regularly. Repeat the application if needed, always using a fresh swab.
Buffing Off the Polish:
This step is essential. Once you have worked the polish across the card, use a clean microfibre cloth to buff off the polish using light, circular motions. Do not leave any residue sitting on the card. Once the majority of the polish has been buffed away, follow up with a smaller microfibre cloth, similar to a glasses cleaning cloth, to remove any remaining excess and bring out a clean, clear finish. Hold the card up to the light to check that no polish remains before moving on.
After Applying:
Allow the card to air dry completely for 2 to 4 hours before sleeving or storing, as trapping moisture can cause unwanted wrinkling. If the polish dries on the card before you have had a chance to remove it, do not scratch it off. Simply apply a small amount of fresh polish on top and it will lift the dried residue cleanly.
Storage and Maintenance:
Always use a fresh foam swab for every new session. Store the polish at room temperature with the lid tightly closed and away from direct light to preserve its formula and freshness.
